Six questions every station owner asks, answered

KommCare is organised around the questions a station actually has, from “what will this car cost?” at the front to “did the month make money?” at the end. Everything on this page is built and working today.

01 · Front of house

“Who is this, what do they want, and what will it cost?”

Answered beside the car. The customer is found by plate, the job is written down, and the right price for their vehicle comes up on its own, before anything is committed.

Customers & vehicles

Find anyone by plate in seconds, even with no signal. Register a walk-in and their car in one step, with consent to message captured and dated. A sold car keeps its plate and moves to its new owner.

Services & pricing

Your menu at your prices: one price for everything, or one per vehicle type. The right price is picked from the vehicle in front of you.

Job orders

Short numbers like JOB-000123 staff can say aloud. Add or remove services mid-job without starting again, and it records who took the job for honest commission.

Packages

Bundle services and products into one offer at one price. What went into it is still counted, so stock and reports stay honest.

Vehicle types & brands

Car, SUV, pickup, van, cab and bike, with 27 brands ready-made. An unknown brand is typed in and waits for the owner to approve, without holding up the job.

02 · Money

“Did we get paid, and paid correctly?”

However the customer pays — cash, card, bank transfer, credit or a mix — the invoice records it exactly and refuses a mistake. And it works in the yard with no signal at all.

Invoicing & payments

Official numbered invoices raised from a job. Part payments, credit settled later, and one bill split across methods, with overpaying refused against the whole bill.

Printed & online invoices

Printing comes first at the counter: your logo, the plate, services, totals and each payment received. Every invoice also has its own private, branded web page.

Works without internet

Register, take jobs, invoice and take payment with no signal. A PROVISIONAL slip now, the official invoice when signal returns, nothing lost or duplicated. Tested with the cable out.

03 · Keeping customers

“Who has stopped coming, and how do I get them back?”

Repeat business is the whole economics of a wash bay. KommCare keeps a separate clock for each kind of service on every car, learns each regular’s own rhythm, and shows you exactly who is overdue. You decide who gets a text.

Who hasn’t been back

Regulars past their usual gap: their car, what they’re due for, how late, and what they usually spend. Sorted by most overdue or biggest spenders, totalled as money, and counted on your dashboard.

One clock per kind of service

Washes, detailing, oil: each with its own gap, so an oil change never hides a missed wash. Sensible defaults to start, all adjustable.

It learns each customer’s rhythm

After enough visits, their own habit replaces the default, using the typical gap so one holiday doesn’t throw it. Never for oil: late must not become normal.

Text them in one go

Tick, see the cost in rupees and today’s limit, confirm twice. One text per person even with two cars, never two staff texting the same visit, and a log of who was contacted.

Promotions

Text an offer to everyone, lapsed customers or one vehicle type. See the real reach and cost first, confirm twice, and cancel mid-send if needed.

Service history

Every past visit under the plate lookup, at the counter and in the yard, for the moment someone asks “when was I last in?”

Opt-out: reply STOP

STOP to leave, START to return, honoured everywhere at once. An opt-out always beats any other setting.

04 · Stock & what the work costs

“What does a wash actually cost me?”

Nobody can watch what gets poured. So KommCare works it out from what you buy, what you count and how many cars you invoice, then tells you when a product moves off your own normal. It reports what changed and leaves the why to you.

Cost per wash

How many cars a unit really covers and what each wash costs in product, stated so you can check it: “a bottle should do 27 cars; it is doing 18.”

It learns your normal

Each product’s normal comes from your own counting history. It shows the trend early and only says “over” once it has seen enough to be sure.

Products & stock

Countable goods come off the shelf one at a time. Chemicals are never guessed: usage comes from what was bought, counted and sold.

Stock reconciliation

What should be on the shelf against what was counted. Chemicals are reported apart, so product legitimately poured is never called loss.

05 · The business

“Did the month make money?”

Invoicing tools stop at the invoice. KommCare carries on through costs, wages and commission to the month’s profit, and pays each person for the jobs they actually took.

Monthly profit & loss

Revenue, minus running costs, minus wages and commission, equals the month’s profit.

RevenueCostsWages=Profit

Owner dashboard

Cars serviced, invoiced, collected, cash against card, registered vehicles and the top five services, each against the period before. Any date range.

Reports

Revenue by service and by vehicle type, staff performance credited to whoever took the job, and who still owes you money.

Costs

Rent, electricity, water, supplies and anything else, recurring or one-off, tagged to a month so the profit figure is real.

Employees, commission & payroll

Base salary and commission rate per person. A monthly run snapshots pay, allows deductions and locks once finalised, with a payslip per employee. A pay rise starts from a date and never re-pays a month already worked.

06 · Your station

“Does this feel like our system?”

Your customers see your station, not us: your logo and colour on every invoice, and texts that arrive under your station’s name. Behind the counter, you decide who can do what.

Your brand, not ours

Your logo, favicon and brand colour on printed invoices and the online invoice page.

Texts from your name

Invoice links, reminders and promotions arrive with your station’s name as the sender. Setup needs a short letter authorising your name, which the SMS network requires.

Team & permissions

Owner, office staff, cashier and floor sales, each seeing only what they should. You can’t lock yourself out, and the last owner can’t be removed.

Station settings

Choose whether the floor app may invoice and take money. The change reaches the phones without anyone logging out.

Simple login with a station code

A short number staff type instead of a name or web address. Easy to say down a phone, easy to type in the yard.
